One weekend in February, I arranged to meet Lisa and Denis to capture the anticipation of their little miracle in pictures. 

 

It was a really rainy day and the wind was blowing strongly through the pine forest on the edge of the dunes. Lisa and Denis were very flexible with their timing that day, so we were able to catch the exact moment between two rain showers in the afternoon.

 

We were almost alone in the sand dunes and the neighbouring forest. Only a few times walkers with their dogs crossed our path and took the opportunity to congratulate the parents-to-be from afar.

 

And I think this shoot is proof that great pictures don't just happen when the sun is shining. The atmosphere was very special. You could feel their anticipation for the upcoming adventure!
