When Heide called and told me about her plans, I was immediately excited. While the couple were in Hamburg for a few weeks, Heide wanted to propose to her girlfriend Mara. The memories of this special moment were to be captured in pictures. Such a beautiful idea!

 

We secretly planned the photo shoot together and let Mara believe that it would be a “normal couple shoot”. It was the first time the two of them had been in front of the camera together. 

 

One evening in September, we met on the outskirts of Hamburg for their photo shoot. The sun was slowly setting and bathed the heathland in a beautiful light. 

 

After a while, we arrived at the spot I had chosen for the big question. Heide knelt down unnoticed and took the beautiful engagement ring out of her pocket. When Mara turned to her, she was amazed - the surprise had definitely been a success! This was followed by kind words, the big question and a YES! I was very moved by the two of them and their emotions. A wonderful moment!
